The Forever One Community is a Sunday School class focused on discovering God’s principles for strengthening and nurturing the marriage union.

In addition to the Bible, this Community leverages Christian-based marriage resources for each semester’s length; the group is currently covering Fireproof Your Marriage, based on the Fireproof movie. The transformation portion of the Community meeting is didactic as well as conversational and encourages sharing insights, questions and experiences (both positive and negative!) to help one another strengthen and support their Christian marriages in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

In order to foster deeper connections with other couples, there is a “Dinner for Six” get-together once a semester. Each semester 3 couples are randomly paired up to get together once for dinner or an activity over the semester. It’s up to each group to determine where, who (just couples or families as well), and other particulars. Because the Forever One Community is focused on married couples and takes place during Sunday School, members who have children are encouraged to participate in the children’s Sunday School teaching rotation.

Starting the Spring 2010 semester, we are also forming both “Boys Night Out” and “Girls Night Out” activities that will take place once per semester. The goals is to give both men and women individual opportunities to develop closer friendships through social activities, with the thought that these deepening relationships may lead to greater Biblical accountability.
