The Pastoral Search Committee (PSC) has been charged with finding a new Senior Pastor since Pastor Jim Schuppe will be retiring on June 30, 2012. The Pastoral Search Committee began meeting on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 and has been meeting every other week since.
According to the document outlining committee responsibilities (PDF), the charge of the PSC is to:
- Set guidelines
- Prepare church profile
- Prepare pastoral profile
- Collect resumes
- Choose one candidate
- Invite the potential nominee
- The Call – vote on candidate
As of January 1, the PSC has defined its guidelines, prepared the pastoral profile, and prepared the church profile. In addition, the PSC formally announced the position and will be collecting applications through February 25, 2012.
